Cheiromycella indica sp. nov. and new records of microfungi from North-Western India

Abstract:

Cheiromycella indica sp. nov. is described and illustrated from dead and decaying wood of Pinus roxburghii Sarg. from Solan district along with Brachysporiella pulchra and Helicoma dennisii collected from Kangra, Bilaspur and Mandi districts of Himachal Pradesh, respectively. A species of Cheiromycella is distinguished by its small conidia from the other species of the genus. A key to species of Cheiromycella is provided. Brachysporiella pulchra and Helicoma dennisii are recorded for the first time from N. W. Himalayas.
