Madurai Based Traditional Greens and its Medicinal Properties

From time immemorial we use greens as a part of our daily diet as an integrated preven-tive and curative health care system. In this era of techno savvy, we have forgotten many greens that were used by our ancestors which possess scientifically proven for their biological activities. With the perspective of disseminating knowledge on greens of our own geographical area Madurai, a city of Tamil sangham, the re-view was written by providing some examples of the array of important medicinal values.
