Dr. Abhay Kumar Pandey is Professor in the Department of Biochemistry, University of Allahabad, Allahabad, India having 25 years teaching and research experience. Earlier he has served in Puna University and in the Institute of Biomedical Sciences Dehradun. Prof. Pandey has many Awards and Honours to his credit. He is Fellow of SOCIETY FOR PLANT RESEARCH, India; and Member of many academic bodies including The National Academy of Sciences-India, Society of Biological Chemists-India, Indian Science Congress Association, and Italo-Latin American Society of Ethnomedicine. His research activities are focused around Oxidative stress & free radical biology, Toxicology, Antimicrobials & Cancer biology. Six students have been awarded Doctorate degree under his supervision and currently eight students are working for their PhD degree. He has more than 90 publications to his credit including many research articles in international journals of repute and chapters in the books published by Springer, Elsevier, CRC Press and other publishers. Based on Google Scholar Citations Prof. Pandey has more than 4000 citations. One of his review article “Chemistry and biological activities of flavonoids: an overview” has been cited more than 2000 times. Prof. Pandey is Editorial Board member and reviewer of many International journals. He served as Executive Editor of the journal VEGETOS (Springer) for the term 2018-2020. He has delivered many invited lectures, and chaired scientific sessions in the National and International Conferences. Prof. Pandey is a resource person to the Academic Staff Colleges of various Universities and is also associated with the Science communication program of The National Academy of Sciences, India.
