Dr Tabassum Afshan obtained her PhD in Botany in 2008 and PG in Botany from Ranchi University in 1994 with first position.
She worked on Tissue Culture studies on Mimosa pudica and Tinospora cordifolia from the tribal belt of Jharkhand and published one book chapter and many research papers in peer reviewed journals of high repute.
Presently Dr Tabassum is serving at Sri Venkateswara College, University of Delhi. She is on the panel of Executive Council of Society for Plant Research as member for the term 2021- 24.
