Dr S. K. Khari obtained his B. Sc. (Hons.), M. Sc. (Horticulture) and M. Phil (Horticulture)
degrees in first division. He did his Ph. D. in horticulture. Dr. Khari joined S. V. P. University
of Agriculture & Technology, Meerut as Associate Director Extension in 2005 and became
Professor of Horticulture from March 2011.
He so far guided 2 Ph. D. students, published 16 research papers in NAAS rated journals and
has successfully completed three research projects. Dr. Khari is credited for establishing
ATIC (Agriculture Training and Information Center) at the university campus, Meerut. Dr.
Khari was conferred 9 awards from various agencies, published more than 160 abstracts in
various conferences, wrote more than 50 articles besides organizing more than 30 training
programs for farmers as Nodal Officer.
Dr. Khari delivered nearly 15 invited talks including talk at Doordarshan, Delhi. He had been
resolving various issues of the regional farmers related to crop farming through a regular
column in a national daily newspaper.
