Dr. Shalini G. Rudra

Senior Scientist, Division of Food Science and Postharvest Technology, ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi, India

Dr. Shalini is an accomplished scientist with h index 24 and i10 index 38 in the area of food science and technology. An alumnus of Delhi University, Guru Nanak Dev University and SLIET, she has a wide range of experience in teaching, training and research. She has worked in various capacities in organizations like Panjab University, Thapar Institute, IGNOU, National Productivity Council before joining as Scientist in the ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi. She is a certified Lead auditor for ISO 22000 from APO, Tokyo. She has been working in the field of food science and post harvest technology for shelf life enhancement of horticultural produce; characterizing, processing of millets, pulses and pseudocereals. Having worked in the area of edible coating, nanofibres, nano-emulsions, extrusion processing, baking and waste valorization, she has more than 100 technical and scientific papers to her credit. She has guided more than 10 masters and 1 doctoral student do far. She enjoys training the farm women and is involved in projects for capacity building of farm women across North India.
