Dr Sushma Das Guru obtained her Ph. D. degree in Botany from Ranchi University in the year 1996 and joined as lecturer in 2000 at Ranchi Women College, Ranchi (Jharkhand). Her field of interest is algal biodiversity and aquatic ecosystem.
Dr Sushma has successfully run UGC sponsored research project and has guided research to two students. She has so far published 21 research papers in peer reviewed journals. She attended many orientation courses and the Faculty Development Programs.
Dr Das Guru attended more than 70 national and international conferences in India and abroad. She is the Fellow of Society for Plant Research and has been conferred many awards by various academic institutions including the Lifetime Achievement Award-2023. She is the Life member of many academic societies and served there in various positions.
