Dr. Devarajan Thangadurai


Dr Devarajan Thangadurai obtained his M. Sc. Degree from Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu in 1998 and Ph.D. from Sri Krishnadevaraya University, Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh in 2003.
Dr Thangadurai started his teaching career from Karnataka University, Dharwad in 2007 and also worked as Research Associate, University of Delhi, New Delhi during 2005 and as European Commission Postdoctoral Fellow, University of Madeira, Funchal, Portugal during 2004.
His major research area is Plant Biotechnology and was the recipient of Best Young Scientist Award with Gold Medal by Acharya Nagarjuna University, Guntur, Andhra Pradesh in 2003.
Dr Thangadurai is the Fellow of International Society of Environmental Sciences, India (2011) and Society for Applied Biotechnology, India (2010) and was elected as Associate Fellow-2010.
Presently he is serving the Department of Botany, Karnatak University, Dharwad 580003, Karnataka.
