Abstract

On the bases of field investigation and checking floras and the specimens preserved in herbaria, the detailed geographic distribution data and botanical data of seven representative trees Malus sieversii (Ldb.) M. Roem., Armeniaca vulgaris Lam., Prunus sogdiana Vass., Prunus domestica L., Juglans regia L., Crataegus songorica C. Koch. and Padus avium Mill., in the Xinjiang wild fruit forest are provided here. Then the Climate adaptability of representative trees was analyzed with Kira s warmth index and coldness index, Xu s humidity index, annual mean precipitation, annual mean sunshine hours and other climate indexes. The results suggest that, (1) P. avium Mill. is part in cold temperate zone, the rest of the six species of wild fruit forest trees are all in the temperate zone. Besides, P. sogdiana Vass., A. vulgaris Lam., M. sieversii (Ldb.) M. Roem. and J. regia L. are belong to arid and semi -arid region, P. domestica L., C. songorica C. Koch. and P. avium Mill. are belong to humid and semi-humid region. (2) The main climatic factors affecting the distribution of wild fruit forest trees is heat factor, followed by moisture factor, and some species are also affected by sunlight.
