Croton hirtus L’Hér.: an addition to the flora of Northeast India

Abstract
Croton hirtus L’Hér. of the family Euphorbiaceae is recorded for the first time in Northeast India from Amtali region of Tripura. This record reveals the existence of the species in the country apart from its known habitats in Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu. A detailed description, illustration, colour photographs and notes are provided for easy recognition and correct identification.
