North Western Himalayas are repository of medicinal plants. These plants have potential to provide sustainable livelihood for local folks as well as herbal medicines for the cure of various ailments. The ever increasing demand of these medicinal herbs advocates their mass propagation through plant tissue culture. In the present investigation medicinal plants were documented for their medicinal properties, current status and vulnerability.
