Abstract

The experiment on management of Sesamia inferens in wheat sown under different tillage conditions i.e., wheat sown with Happy seeder and rotavator. Five biorationals (Neem, home-made dharek extract, Bacillus thuringiensis, Beauveria bassiana, PAU neem extract) and eight insecticides (flubendiamide, chlorantraniliprole (18.5 SC & 0.4 GR), quinalphos, chlorpyriphos, emamectin benzoate, fipronil, and cartap hydrochloride) were evaluated for the management of this insect pest. B. bassiana, fipronil and both chlorantraniliprole formulations were promising for management of pink stem borer in wheat sown in standing rice stubbles with Happy seeder or in paddy straw incorporation rice fields (with rotavator) under rice-wheat cropping system.
