Capsicum annuum L. is an important vegetable crop valued for its high nutritional content and market demand. Sustainable cultivation practices that enhance soil fertility and crop nutrient content are vital for improving food quality and productivity. Integrated Nutrient Management, which combines organic and inorganic fertilisers, has emerged as a promising strategy to improve soil health and plant nutrient uptake. This study aimed to evaluate the nutrient composition of Capsicum annuum L. fruits under integrated organic and inorganic fertiliser regimes under semi-controlled conditions. A field experiment was conducted during the winter season of 2022–2023 at the Fiji National University, using a Randomised Complete Block Design with five treatments: T1-NPK (100%), T2-NPK (50%) + (50%) Poultry Manure Mesh, T3-NPK (50%) + (50%) Fish Emulsion Fertiliser, T4-NPK (50%) + (50%) Liquid Organic Fertiliser and T5-control. Data were recorded on ash, moisture, protein, phosphorus, potassium, calcium, magnesium, and micronutrient levels in the harvested fruits. The results showed that T2 (combination of 50% NPK and 50% poultry manure mesh) resulted in significantly higher nutrient levels, including protein (2.24%), phosphorus (0.55%), potassium (237.5 mg kg−1), calcium (225 mg kg−1) and magnesium (275 mg kg−1), compared to other treatments. The control exhibited the lowest nutrient content, underscoring the importance of fertilisation in enhancing nutrient accumulation. These findings suggest that integrated nutrient management, particularly using NPK and poultry manure mesh, a combination of organic and inorganic fertilisers, can improve the nutritional quality of capsicum, supporting sustainable agricultural practices for better crop yield and nutrient levels.
