Abstract
Priva lappulacea (L.) Pers., a native to Florida, Texas to Tropical America, is reported from West Bengal, India as a new addition to the Flora of Indian subcontinent. Taxonomic description with relevant notes, photographic illustrations, habitat and distribution are provided.
