Abstract

Women of reproductive age may be affected by uterine leiomyomas, sometimes referred to as fibroids, which are non-cancerous growths in the uterus. The cost, adverse effects, and occasionally ineffectiveness of the drugs now on the market are the issues with them. The use of medicinal herbs in the treatment of fibroids provides an efficient substitute for traditional methods, which typically entail invasive procedures or hormone-based therapies. The diverse bioactive substances found in medicinal plants have made them a potential approach to treatment because of their anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and hormone-modulating properties. The search for safer medical substitutes is reflected in the expanding market for plant-based drugs. These botanicals have demonstrated promise in shrinking fibroids and alleviating associated discomfort without the negative side effects. The current uses of medicinal herbs to treat fibroids, the biological processes that underlie these uses, and the potential for further advancement in this area are all covered in this review. The study also emphasizes how these natural solutions offer a convenient and secure option for women looking to alleviate fibroid pain.
