Abstract

In this communication, an attempt has been made to study a comparative analysis of morphogenic responses between two species viz. Mimosa pudica (fam. Mimosaceae) and Tinospora cordifolia (Fam. Menispermaceae). Effects of phytohormones viz. auxins (IAA and NAA), cytokinins (BAP and Kinetin) and gibberellins have been recorded in both species. Differentiation of shoots and roots have been encountered while formation of callusing has been marked out. Mimosa pudica appears to be more responsive in comparision to Tinospora cordifolia.
