Abstract


Ardisia pedunculosa Wall. (Primulaceae), so far known from Eastern Himalaya (Meghalaya & Arunachal Pradesh) and Bangladesh based on the published data: it is reported here as a new distributional record for Assam, India. A detailed description, colour photographs and other relevant information are provided for its identification. Occurrence of the species in Assam bridges the distributional gap between Eastern Himalaya and Bangladesh.
